MooGoo Vitamin C Brightening Active Serum contains a blend of specialised ingredients to diminish dark spots, peace out pigmentation, even out skin tone and bring back that brightness. MooGoo's new Vitamin C formula still contains the extra stable, oil-soluble and non-irritating form of Vitamin C Moogoo always uses (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate), but now it's paired with 2 other pigmentation targeting powerhouses. Sepiwhite and Lactic Acid bring you a 3-pronged approach (prevention, diminishing and exfoliation) to achieve a brighter and more radiant complexion.

Antioxidants - One part of skin ageing is caused by free radical damage. Free radicals are molecules that have become short of an electron. To become stable again, free radicals seek out other molecules and can take an electron from them. This causes cell damage leading to skin ageing, among other things. Supplying antioxidants to the skin helps mop up these pesky free radicals so they leave your cells alone. But it’s important to ensure that the antioxidants are still fresh and effective by the time they meet your skin and get deep enough into the skin to do their good work. That’s why MooGoo choose only to use ingredients that are stable as unstable forms can oxidise rendering their good properties null and void. We also use quality ingredients that are well-known to be beneficial to and compatible with human skin and are also paired with an effective delivery system to make sure they get into the skin where they need to be.

Key Ingredients:

Jojoba Seed Oil is extracted from jojoba seeds and is one of our all-time favourite oils to use. While it is actually a liquid wax, it is non-comedogenic (it does not clog the pores), extremely moisturising, light and sinks into the skin easily.
Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Oil-Soluble Vitamin C) is an expensive, very stable, oil-soluble derivative of Vitamin C. It’s a powerful antioxidant that slows the rate of free radical damage. Studies have shown Vitamin C to stimulate collagen production as well as toning and brightening the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment), thereby promoting a more even skin tone. This form of Vitamin C is absorbed easily and is well tolerated by even the most sensitive skin types.
Shea Butter is sourced from the natural complex fat extracted from the nuts of the Shea Tree, and one of the most intense moisturising ingredients available. The traditional use of the butter is to reduce the appearance of fine lines, scars and stretch marks, and to ease a variety of skin irritations.
Sepiwhite® is a naturally derived ingredient and is certified by using agricultural organic raw materials and manufacturing processes that are clean and sustainable. It is a powerful lightening ingredient that is gentle on the skin.
Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E) is a naturally sourced Vitamin E instead of a synthetic one. Although it is more expensive, it has twice the bioavailability of synthetic forms which we think is worth the extra cost.

Directions: Apply every morning and night before you apply your moisturiser.
