Loceryl Anti-Fungal Nail Treatment provide effective treatment of fungal nail infections. Loceryl® active ingredient has a broad spectrum of activity to kill the fungus which causes onychomycosis. Loceryl® maintains its effect within the nail for 7 days to continue to kill the fungus. The Loceryl® Lacquer protects the nail from re-infection.
A fungal nail infection is also known as Onychomycosis and it can occur on the toenails and fingernails. The infection occurs when fungus infects the nail bed, and can happen on both fingers and toes3,7. Factors of infection risk include the wearing of tight, enclosed shoes, exposure to damp spaces like communal locker rooms. However, risk is also influenced by personal factors such as age, genetics, and underlying conditions like existing nail damage. The infected nail may be yellow to brown, thick, brittle and/or separated from the nail bed. Fungal nail infections don’t fade away naturally. They require treatment to kill the fungus infecting the nail. Left untreated, a fungal nail infection can spread to other nails, or increase in severity.
Directions: Adults: Apply once or twice weekly as directed by your healthcare professional. Usually, treatment takes around six months for the fingernails and nine to twelve months for the toenails. Continue until the infected nails are completely re-grown. If there is no improvement, or only small improvement after 6 to 12 months of treatment, see your healthcare professional.
Active Ingredient: amorolfine 5%, as the hydrochloride
Precautions: Keep out of reach of children. For Adults only. Do not use in children under 12 years of age. If the nail infection begins at the white curved bit at the bottom of your nail base (Lunula), Loceryl should not be used alone, talk to your healthcare professional. Do not use if you are pregnant/breastfeeding or may become pregnant or wish to start breastfeeding. Do not use Loceryl Anti-Fungal Nail Treatment if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients listed. Always read the label and use as directed.
