Hirudoid Cream is an effective antithrombotic and anti-inflammatory cream.

Hirudoid Cream for the treatment of bruises, swelling, scars and various inflammatory conditions of the veins.

Hirudoid Cream inhibits inflammation, relieves pain and tension in the afflicted area and shortens the duration of the problem. It treats surgical or accidental injuries such as:

Haematomas (localized swelling filled with blood resulting from a break in a blood vessel)
Contusions (an injury that doesn't break the skin but results in some discoloration)
Bruises - reduces healing time by up to 50%
Swelling and inflammation
Sprains, strains and other minor injuries

Hirudoid Cream treats scars to:

Loosen and soften the scar tissue
Reduce the redness
Increase elasticity of the scar tissue
Improve the cosmetic appearance of old and new scars

It also helps with inflammed veins to:

Treat various inflammatory conditions of the veins requiring medical supervision
Reduce superficial thrombophlebitis such as Varicose Veins

Hirudoid Cream works by increasing blood circulation, and aids in cell metabolism as the active ingredient assists regeneration of skin cells by stimulating synthesis of the endogenous hyaluronate. It also improves visco-elasticity of the skin, retains moisture and increases the hydration. The blood flow to the affected area is increased by dilating the peripheral blood vessels. This promotes faster absorption of fluid from the affected tissue and promotes rapid regeneration of disturbed tissue for faster healing.

Directions: Apply a 3cm to 5cm strip of cream onto the affected area ONCE or TWICE a day as required. Massage gently into the skin until absorbed. It should be massaged firmly if being used to loosen hard scars.

If the area is extensive or particularly painful, spread the cream over it carefully and cover with a dressing soaked in the cream. It should also be massaged around the edges of the affected areas.

Heparinoid (Mucopolysaccharide polysulfuric acid ester) Bovine - 3mg
Hydroxybenzoates - 2mg

Works wonders for managing varicose veins

I use hirudoid cream on recommendation from my midwife for varicose veins. It works really well, the aching and pain has decreased significantly. Definitely recommend!

Red raised scar treatment

I've been using this Hirudoid Cream on my keloid scars along my jawline. I have a few small raised bumps from cystic acne. I've been applying this twice a day once in the morning and once a night. It's only been a week, but it's amazing how soft and level the scars are getting. I will continue to use this until I run out and see more improvement!

Bruise Treatment

While out horse riding on Sunday morning I accidently got my shin slammed into a heavy steel plate that was protruding from a tractor that we rode past. The resulting bruise was instant, bright blue and extremely painful and there was a deep dent in my flesh across the point of impact. Following initial treatment with an ice pack I returned home, elevated my leg again and proceeded to massage in Hirudoid cream and rest, the effect of doing this was very rapid and by the end of Sunday the bruise looked about 3 days old. I have continued massaging in the cream, the dent in the flesh disappeared on Monday and while still tender my leg is on the mend - it is now Wednesday afternoon and while I still have swelling on my shin the bruise looks about a week old and I am pleased with the result, I am glad we had the Hirudoid on hand.
