Epicyn Silicon Gel 45g

Epicyn Silicon Gel is a Gold Standard Silicone Based Gel that is Clinically Proven to Reduce Scar Characteristics

Epicyn Silicon Gel is Effective for the management and Reduction of New and Existing Hypertrophic and Keloid Scars.

Epicyn Silicon Gel is pH neutral, odourless and suitable for all skin types. Epicyn has been Clinically Proven in existing scars to reduce all scar characteristics including: Reduces redness, hardness and elevation and colour difference compared to normal skin.

Epicyn treats scars right from the start. Epicyn is the only scar silicone gel to be used from day one, immediately after wound appearance or post-surgical sutures (stitches). During healing is the most effective time to reduce scar formation.

The unique MicroHeal® technology in Epicyn means effective scar management. MicroHeal technology ensures fast effective control of your skin condition, supporting the body's natural healing process, including a reduction in iflammation and promoting faster healing. MicroHeal creates an optimal moist wound healing environment. The bacterial load is reduced.

Epicyn was clinically tested against a leading silicone gel, Scars managed with Epicyn had positive outcomes and cosmetic results across all measures.

Scars can be a worrying long term outcome from skin trauma. Skin damage from burns, injury, trauma or surgery cause scar tissue to form. If scars are prominent treatments are available to reduce their appearance. There are two types of scars, keloid and hypertrophic. Common scar symptoms include:

  • Pain and Itch
  • Appearance, including scar height
  • Pliability, how flexible the scar is
  • A lack of blood supply to the scar (measured as vascularity)

International Scar Management Guidelines (2014) recommend that silicone gel is the first line treatment. Both for prophylaxis (preventing scar formation) and for scar treatment. The recommendation to use Silicone Gel applies to both keloid and hypertrophic scar types. Epicyn silicone gel additionally contains innovative MicroHeal technology. Giving you the best of both to improve all scar measures.

MicroHeal products are clinically proven to be:

  • Non-irritating
  • Non-damaging to healthy skin cells
  • Free of sensitivity

As tested by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved laboratories.

Directions: Cover the affected area with a thin layer of Epicyn Dermatological Silicone Gel. Gently rub into the scar until it is evenly distributed. For best results apply three times daily.

  • MicroHeal ® Super-Oxidised Solution technology, Silicone Gel (Polydimethylsiloxane)

    Expected more from Epicyn

Posted by Kathryn Hearsum on 30th Mar 2023

I had a cyst removed off my leg so purchased Epicyn after reading the review I thought it would be perfect to help with scarring. Applied twice a day but still have a hard crust where cyst was removed. I'm not sure if this should be the case so slightly disappointed that this has happened as led to believe otherwise. Will wait to see what happens when the crust disappears.

    No more itching

Posted by Unknown on 27th Mar 2023

Recently used this after a skin biopsy. It was great, no infection and the best part was no itching while it was healing with stitches. Usually I am frustrated with itching and can’t wait to have the stitches out. Healed nicely too. No skin reactions either as I react to lots of other products

Easy to apply and dries quickly

Posted by Lynn K. on 30th Mar 2022

Following surgery for a broken wrist, I started applying Epicyn after the splint was removed (one week post surgery). Gel was easy to apply and dries quickly. I have no comparison to other treatments, but scar seems to be healing well. I ordered 2 tubes [I live in USA and shipping was expensive. DHL Express delivery was fast and reliable). I received product on March 4, 2022. Both tubes were marked with a product creation date of 12-08-2020, and expiration date of 2022-12-08, so effectively the 2 tubes will expire in 9 months. I was disappointed that product I received would not be viable for at least a couple of years.

    excellent scar treatment

Posted by Unknown on 6th Mar 2018

My recent knee surgery resulted in a slightly hypertrophic scar and I can already see an improvement after using Epicyn silicon gel for a short time. I only began using it after the scar was a,ready six weeks old; I’m scheduled for another knee surgery and next time I’ll start using it as soon as the wound has healed.
